Description
· New Panadol X is the latest advanced formulation from the makers of Panadol.
· It combines the powerful pain relief of Panadol Extra with the fast Optizorb disintegration system of Panadol Advance.
Major Ingredients
· 500 mg of paracetamol, 65 mg caffeine, calcium carbonate and alginic acid
Efficacy
· New Panadol X has up to 37% more pain relieving power compared to standard paracetamol tablets1
· Clinical studies show that caffeine is an analgesic adjuvant when used in combination with paracetamol
· Paracetamol combined with caffeine provides greater analgesia than paracetamol alone1-3. This has been demonstrated in a broad number of pain states including headache, dental pain and menstrual pain
Speed
· The Optizorb disintegration system allows New Panadol X to reach therapeutic levels in as little as 10 minutes, getting to work in half the time as Panadol Extra 4
· Panadol X offers the same strong pain relief as Panadol Extra but reaches therapeutic levels faster than Panadol Extra
Safety
· Adding caffeine to paracetamol-containing products does not affect the established safety profile of paracetamol
· New Panadol X has a good safety profile, which is more favorable than NSAIDS or codeine-containing combination analgesics
Dosing
· The adult dose of New Panadol X is two caplets every 4 hours, with a maximum of 8 caplets in 24 hours
